2 printers same problem

Machines: 1) VC3.1 400 with an Octopus/RPi4, Pinda, LGX/Mosquito Magnum, Enclosed with enclosure 1.0 2) VC3.1 500 with a MantaM8P 1.1/CB1, BLTouch, LGX Lite/Phaetus Rapido, Built with Enclosure 2.0 but has no panels Both are running 24V power supplies, 2209 drivers, BTTSFS2.0, EBB42 toolboards via USB, BTT HDMI7 screens, and RatOS 2.1. Issue: I keep getting toolboard disconnect errors on both machines. Typically happens during startup, like if it is doing something (like preheating) when I send the file over from Orca. Not sure if the Mainboard CPU is overloaded since it "tachs out" at boot. They didn't do this when I initially commissioned them, but the problem popped up on both roughly at the same time. It was quite a while ago and I've just lived with it. My Workaround: I will shutdown then start the file from the Klipperscreen on a totally cold machine, since it was already sent from Orca. Sometimes it takes several tries. When I do get the job to run, it will usually finish. I've had 30hr prints finish fine.
Things I've tried: Fresh RatOS install Convert to 2.1 (on the 500) Update all the software Use brand new SanDisk SD cards Bump up the Pi power supply to 5.1v (on the 400) Install new USB cables.

check the cables on the toolboard, there must be some pin probably on the power supply that is not crimped well

Agreed. It is odd that the printer can make it through a long print without disconnecting, but perhaps once things are warmed up the connection is more secure. Definitely go through power and data connections and triple check the crimps
