To move from a 6-column layout to a 5-column layout on your Corne Wireless, you'll need to update your firmware and keymap accordingly. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Download the Firmware: You can find the pre-compiled firmware files for the 5-column layout in our documentation. Make sure to choose the correct version based on whether you are using nice!view or not:
- Without nice!view:
- Left Half: Download
- Right Half: Download
- With nice!view:
- Left Half: Download
- Right Half: Download
2. Update Your Keymap: If you have a custom keymap, you'll need to adjust it to fit the 5-column layout. You can find the keymap configuration in the respective GitHub repository for the 5-column layout:

3. Flashing the Firmware: Follow the steps to flash the new firmware onto your nice!nano:
- Plug in your nice!nano to your computer.
- Enter the bootloader by double-tapping the reset button.
- Drag and drop the
.uf2 file onto the NICENANO drive.
4. Testing: After flashing, test your keyboard to ensure everything is functioning correctly with the new layout.

The silver standoffs - how do I put them in? Seems like on the old case I had these small nuts that went around them from the bottom. On the new case, I just have screws and standoffs, but the standoffs don’t fit through the holes in the bottom of the case
So I can’t even use the old nuts
figured it out. the standoffs you screw in from the bottom
adn then you screw in the plate into the standoff from the top
