Hosting Alternatives
need some leads to other hosting options. we have Bloom as our first option as we have tried their service before. Bloom is great but we're just curious if we're missing out on other great (maybe cheaper) options.
what we need:
- hosted in Singapore
- 8-12gb of RAM
- atleast 100gb of storage
- around 20-25$ price range

yeah.. we're kinda stuck given the limited hostings in singapore. we're looking into lilypad as well tho, pretty interesting
thats the one i was forgetting
lilypad
yeaaah. was looking around which ones are getting recommended and saw them 😆 do u know if they have a test server i could check?
let me find his name again
@Josh do you have a lilypad test server for singapore
oh cool! thanks, clyde!
np
question. does lilypad allow doing server splits/sub servers
i want to say yes, but i also dont know
yeah cant seem to find anyone mentioning it HAHA hopefully someone knows
while we're here, may I ask your thoughts on prismnodes? they currently have a waitlist for their singapore hosting, thinking if its worth it compared to Bloom/Lilypad/PebbleHost
they are good
aight aight. might join their waitlist for SG then. hopefully it comes around the same time we'll reopen HAHA thanks, clyde!

hey, I run lilypad - I think we’re best for price:performance in singapore
if you want to check your ping, click “create server” in the top right of our website and it should tell you: https://lilypad.gg/minecraft
we don’t have anything to “split” servers as such, but you can upgrade/downgrade servers as needed which works in a very similar way :D
You should try out UltraServers, they have good specs and def has best price per gb lol
ah i did check them out! their asia servers are out of stock tho sadly
you mean the Ryzen type ?
Yeah although they announced about new stocks coming up but you would have to wait for like couple of weeks
I use the Epyc one so not much of an issue lol
oh that would be awesome then. havent really tried anything besides ryzen plans.
Yeah if you planned to have a server with small to maybe medium sized community, then go for Epyc
It's singlecore perfomance is a bit better than Ryzen 9 3950x so it should be fine
-# *According to Passmark's cpu benchmark
support is a bit meh knowledge wise (except mortis really), price/hardware is fine tho
gotchu gotchu. I also see they're open to upgrading to ryzen if needed once back in stock
ahhh. definitely noted on this one.
they just rolled out announcements about hiring
but not sure about the support team tho
their hiring criteria is a bit odd tbh
(not public requirements*)
its also hard to find good mc knowledgeable guys without knowing much about it
thats a big oof
wonder how many they've got so far
