New pair of name servers!

Normally when I add a domain to my Cloudflare account I get the same pair of name servers but today I added a new domain and the name servers are completely different. Did something change with each account having it's own unique pair of name servers?

Hello, I’m Allie!
Did you set the nameservers before you added the domain to CF?

Accounts having the same pair was never guarenteed anyway, you should always set the nameservers that you're told to set when you add the zone and never pre-set or assume the nameservers ahead of time as it could previously expose you to domain hijack and now will instead force them to change thats good advice for the internet in general btw, never set your domains authoritative nameservers to any hostname that you dont know with 100% certainty are the correct values for what youre trying to do, or you can open yourself up to domain hijack attacks

Yes I was hoping for slightly faster setup

you can't do it, cloudflare blocks that now for very valid security reasons by presetting nameservers you're opening yourself up to those same security issues for a small time and should always wait until it tells you which ones to set before setting any if you change the nameservers immediately after zone creation using the ones it provides then the whole verification process usually only takes a few minutes
