sam nvm my first comment i am blind!
As for whether it's worth it, that's up to you. How do you want the trousers to hit your shoes? And make sure you know how high you want to wear them (they seem low again).
No worries
My instinct is they could use a little hem esp with those boots
They're getting caught under your heel
yeah get em hemmed
sorry if im late to this discourse but are you wearing them high enough on your hips properly?
How do they fit in the waist? Might be better to size down or look into other brands with similar cuts. I would definitely hem them, but if the length is not the only issue I would look into getting a different size or pant. If it fits in the waist properly (or at least doesn’t bunch up weird with a belt) than definitely get them hemmed
I’ve tried to put it where I think my waist is, but like with the Uniqlo chinos, they fairly quickly fall down to where my hips are.
Double ping sorry
belt
bel
t
belt
yeah just belt that shit, i have a few pairs that basically immediately fall down if i dont belt and you'd never know it.
So I tried hemming them myself and this is what it ended up as
:bloberm:
Not sure about the gold stitching here
Is this just a temporary hem or something? Might be a tiny bit short.
I cut most of the excess fabric off 😭
bruh
what happens if you remove the stitching
how much fabric is in your hem
oh dear oh dear
do you have a sewing machine?
i would not cut any fabric off your pants until you get a belt. wear them at the right height then take them to a pro to hem . im convinced a belt would have fixed the inseam problems on both of your pants
that stitch (if this is tbe final product) is a single nick on something away from completely coming undone too
buy belt
go to professional tailor if you rly need hem --> ask for a "full break"
by all means learn to sew and hem in parallel but not on pants you like
If you just want to experiment with how long the inseam is without hemming, do a cuff.
You could take the stitching out again, unfold them and have these as "raw hem" to get some of the length back.
I have done it with these, if you noticed the slightly frayed bottom that's just the cut edge instead of having them folded in
oh no
Hey guys-
:why_dissolve:
I do have a sewing machine yeah
I did have a belt on for this pic
And I also don't have much in the way of hem fabric
I'd say about 1/2 an inch
I can't seem to get pants length right :linkCoolCry:
Sam it's so easy just use a measuring tape, and cuff them if they're too long, (until you're 100% sure of what length you need!)
You don't need to cut your trousers up your self
You can still save those ones just by doing this though!
This looks good to me!
You can occasionally snip off the longer threads if it gets too messy
Cool boots btw
This is very good.
All the more reason to cuff until you’re sure.
Agree that this is actually kinda sick though
