Mod Configs Missing
Any mods I added recently that are meant to have config files like CustomStacks to change stack sizes of individual items or CustomRecipes, have absolutely no config files to do so, generating. I ran a Steam folder search and system-wide search and nothing came up.
Is the new redloader lacking a system for mod config files or something?????

Have you tried the mods button in the main menu or pause menu?
Usually there you see your mods and are able to edit their configs if configs are available
Yes there's no "Settings" button like there are for mods that existed before this latest update.
Can you send your latest.log from the _redloader folder?
So for reference, I recently got back into the game while waiting for redloader to update and any new mods I added are missing things like configs and a settings button in mods
No, can't upload any files in this thread
Send it to me via pm
Also no
"Your message could not be delivered. This is usually because you don't share a server with the recipient or the recipient is only accepting direct messages from friends."
No apparent errors and the config of the mod was loaded.
MelonPreferences Loaded from D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sons Of The Forest\UserData\CustomRecipe.cfg
So i dont see why it wouldnt work
I'll PM you a screenshot
Could be an issue due to the latest update
Those are the only files in there
All I can think is to remove the ones in there see if those regenerate and if not its a bigger problem than those few individual mods not generating configs
Huh thats a weird one.
Weird suggestion but try downloading https://sotf-mods.com/mods/glad0s/enable-building-in-caves
And run it once with that.
Then check if that created its config file correctly.
Enable Building in Caves
Allows building in caves and removes parts of cave entrances
No config created either
Sent you the latest log again
Alrighty try copying the UserData folder somewhere else to keep the config files and then delete it from the Sotf directoy. Then start your game and well see if it then regenerates them
It gave me back a UserData folder but now the folder is completely empty
And the mods still dont have any config options ingame?
In-game in the mods menu, 3 have a Settings button now but Custom Stacks still doesn't
Did build in caves generate one?
Only after I clicked on the settings button in-game yes
Ok so that works. Could be that their configs no longer work or require an update
Okay so going forward I need to open each mod individually in the mods menu in-game at least once to make sure a config file is generated?
Seems like it never really looked at how it works
