Creating blueprint of existing building

Posted over in the main Satisfactory Discord and the only reply suggested asking here. I have a factory (5x5, not sure about height) that I built in one save file and want to turn it into a blueprint to be used in other saves. Looking for rec on how to accomplish this task. Is there a way to do this on the satisfactory-calculator website? Or perhaps a mod if that’s easier/more straightforward.

You can't turn them into actual BluePrints, but you can use the Satisfactory Calculator (SCIM) to turn them into MegaPrints. Load your save into SCIM, use the selection tools on the left of the map to pick the area you want to print, and select "Copy Selected Items" under the MegaPrints header of the menu that pops up. You can optionally then download a copy of the MegaPrints (MegaPrints button on the map controls -> Download Current MegaPrint). Or you can just start pasting them in: right click on any foundation piece, select "Paste [XX] Items". Experiment with the Paste Position option that pop up on the following menu to find what works for your build. If it pastes in the wrong orientation/position, you can just select it again with the map selection tools, and pick either Offset or Rotate Item Position (there's also an "Undo Paste MegaPrint" option that now appears on the map controls).
