eyeglasses (shape) advice

i think i have a round face shape mostly, slightly large forehead, slightly smaller chin, somewhat strong eyebrows. i've never felt good at picking glasses and i never know what shape to look out for, or frame type

i find it hard to judge on my own face, last time i regret the ones i bought because i realised it looked too big on me only a few days after i don't know what to look for so i just end up buying generic ones

Try out a variety of different frames honestly and don't feel too rushed to make a decision. If you want, take pics of yourself wearing some that you might like and we can give feedback based on that too

It really does come down to experimentation

Same as others have said, the best way is to try on a bunch of frames. I also recommend not taking selfies/using the front facing camera for it since the focal length distorts the image a bit. Take pics from the mirror or have a friend take pics of you and see how they look

yeah take pictures and most importantly don't take them with the selfie cam at arm's length if you dont have someone to take a pic of your face from a few steps back set your camera up and just record a video, that's what i did

Personally I’d only use face shape guides as a starting point They’re not really accurate. According to those guides, my face is the perfect shape for every frame shape when that really isn’t true imo

These depend on your haircut and so much else. I don’t really find them useful tbh bc it’s faster and easier to just go into any glasses shop and try on every frame they have if you’re truly indecisive (ask me how I know) Better to find inspo and looks that you like as with clothing
