Fabric server storage full
I recently switched from Paper to Fabric to allow some farms to work. Besides crashing quite often due to high RAM usage, all the disk space (19,53GB) is now full and the server has shut itself down. Is there anything I can delete to free up some space or generally anything else I can do besides buying more storage?

how much ram have you bought? a host that only gives 20 gb is very very low
I have 2GB
It seemed like enough on Paper
Paper server
for max 5 players
fabric is way less optimized btw*, you can use chunky to trim unused areas but 20 gb is not very much storage, 2 gb is very very low for modern versions to
tho
Is there any other server software I can use that is more optimized but doesnβt change any vanilla behaviour?
or mods maybe
theres a few mods for optimization but it doesnt make it close to paper/pufferfish really
closer but not very close
Lithium/ferritecore can get pretty darn close to the levels of paper with default configs
eh
not really
Okay paper have this async stuff whatever
If that doesnβt do it, c2me, pregen :minecraftTroll:
Also vmp
The heck host is this
2GB is nothing
My discord bots run on 4gb β οΈ
4β¬/m. Canβt afford any more π
idk what to do. Canβt even start the server
Is deleting some region files the only way?
Heck.
That is not good for what you are getting tbh
really?
Yup, shit price:performance ratio
https://servcity.org/minecraft
get the budget four option here for $4.5 per month, while getting two times the storage and 3 times the ram
Servcity as a host is also pretty trusted and generally well liked around here
I think if you need a little more storage, they might give you a bit more if you open a ticket
But 40gbs should last you a while
Iβm curious tho, what host are you currently with?
uh its called mine hoster
Never heard of them before
Of course.
After a bit of digging I do not see what hardware they use besides nvme/ssd
Thatβs how you know itβs good
oh ok
Would recommend switching
yea Iβll definitely take a look
Pebblehost is also okay if you want something slightly more premium than servcity
1gb ram/2euros is horrible
Not even that justifiable on the highest end hardware tbh
Let alone mystery hardware
ehhhhh
*given they did not state the specs, itβs more than likely that itβs not actually the peak hardware
sure but "Not even that justifiable on the highest end hardware"
id consider paying $2 per gb on the 9950x, not 2 euros Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
then you will get shit quality
and a host that wont exist for long
as if that was a huge difference π
2 isnt really sustainable
pov gravelhost xD
with tax, hardware deprecation (if colocating), hosting costs etc
Arenβt you wondering why Iβm self hostingβ¦
Do you know where the server is located? I read they only have one location but I can't see where
Amsterdam
And is Pebblehost better regarding hardware?
i.e. Threadripper 3970X / M128-30 or Intel i9-9900k @ 5GHz / Ryzen 5700X @ 4.6GHz
yes, pebble does have more premium hardwares compared to servcity
but also slightly more expensive
