2 PUBG accounts are linked to my social media account

Back in 2021 I opened my first account linked to Facebook. So far so good, until 2022, I decided to reinstall the app (PUBG mobile) on my mobile device. It turned out that somehow it created a new account linked to my Facebook account. I didn't panic because my level player level was low and I wasn't playing it consistently. After a couple of times logging in and out with my Facebook account, it somehow gave me access to my first account. The issue was fixed (at least that's what i thought). Time passed, during November 2024 I changed my device. Now, a few days ago I decided to install it and it is giving me the issue with the second account again.
I feel desperate to fix this issue. My level was 68 on my first account. I have so many things I value a lot there. My tier, my costumes, skins, players.
I've tried logging in and out again as I did in 2022, but it doesn't work.
I tried manually unlinking the 2nd account from Facebook but it doesn't work. It keeps adding it back. It seems I'm stuck with the second account.
I reached out to customer support in the game but they only offer the typical ensure-your-accout-is-propperly-linked response with steps that aren't much related to my request.
Please understand my situation and offer any kind suggestions.
Thank you!

Got it! We will get back to you if we have more information regarding this issue.
Thank you tons!
Can you confirm that you logged in with your Facebook account only in the global version of PUBG MOBILE, @oisin?
Sorry for the late reply.
I was looking into verifying the global version of the app and I think that was a problem.
I still can't confirm how to distinguish the global version.
BUT I got access to it again. When I opened my account I was in the Americas and after 2021 I moved to Asia.
So, while attempting to verify the global version, I used my Google account that has my location as the Americas region to download the app from the play store, and I was able to get access to it.
Is this behavior expected?
Thanks for leading me into getting access to my account!
