Can't connect to portainer hostest server
I recently got an umbrel home for christmas and i've been messing around with portainer, i decided to make a minecraft server on there and installed itzgy's minecaft server template. i have port forwarded the default minecraft port and have checked everywhere but when i try connecting to the server it give me the error "getsockopt". can anyone help me with this problem? i have looked through the file directory for the server settings as well as using nmap and reading the server logs and as far as i can tell nothing is wrong except that i cannot connect to the server.

getspockopt usually means server isnt propertly setup
not as in ip, port, etc but like actual server setup (of mc)
i tried setting up the same system (without umbrel) on my laptop and ran minecraft alongside it and it worked with the same host
hm
like i ran minecraft on the same server as where i was hosting it on, the problem is i cant acces it outside of the localhost
ok send some logs
!Logs
Please check your server log for errors from your plugins.
If you need further help understanding the errors, please send us the whole log file.
Where can I find the server log?
Logs are stored in
<server_directory>/logs/
. Search for a file explorer in your server's management interface and navigate to that directory. Once you've opened that up, search for the latest.log
file. Some providers have a separate page for logs and may hide the "logs" folder.
On Aternos:
• Go to https://aternos.org/log/.
On Minehut and server.pro:
• Go to the "files" tab in the left menu.
• Navigate to the root directory of your server.
• From there navigate to /logs/latest.log
.
What should I do with the log?
• First of all, read it! I mean, that's what you do all the time when you run a server, isn't it? Try to locate any errors that have anything to do with the issue you are facing.
• If you got the latest.log
file or created a .txt
file with the necessary errors you can upload these directly to the channel, but we prefer if you upload them to https://mclo.gs/.
• If you have trouble downloading the log file, copy/paste the text to a paste service (like mclogs). Copy the link that it gives you and send it to us. (Don't worry, McLogs hides your users' IPs.)Admincraft Canned Responses

seems not as the server isnt receiving you to connect
even if you get the getspockopt error itll still show you "Tried" to conect
https://mclo.gs/YPNaFJq i was tinkering with different network options on portainer and i got this error when starting up the server
im either getting closer or furthur
@Tamz
that just seems like a broken server jar
try using pufferfish or paper server jar
thx ill look into it
You somehow broke DNS with docker
Yeah, looks like whatever is managing the stack has created a network that is internal/local only, and put the service on that network instead of one that is actually exposed
