mcu 'beacon': Unable to connect

Im getting the mcu 'beacon': Unable to connect issue and im not sure if im missing a step but i am running ratos 2.1 and the beacon version says 2. I am upgrading from a v3 to a v4 and previously this worked fine. also it seems that in the devices menu that the beacon is the only usb device not recognized that is connected to the pi

Having the same issue, have you had any progress?

Not yet, I haven’t been able to dedicate any time to this. Maybe next weekend. I have heard that starting from reflashing the pi might solve the issue.

I just had success with changing the USB to a different port on the raspberry pie

Nice, that didn’t work for me :/ I remember I tried that.. but I want to make sure I’m on the right os since I am upgrading a v3 to a v4 the os changes and maybe that is the root cause of my issue

What are you changing from v3 to v4? Vcore? If so, no. Ratos is exactly the same for every single supported printer. What changes is only size and some other configs. Nothing on the base system changes. Beacon has the exact same config on VC3 and VC4.

I was troubleshooting why my beacon stopped working. The only notable change was that i rebuilt the printer with the V4 upgrades. So i tried updating RatOS again(someone mentioned RatOS V2.0 and V2.1 having some significant changes ), tried different ports on the PI. Seems like i damaged the beacon itself at some point, as i received a new one (today) and it ended up working perfectly with the old cable. Thanks for reaching out though!
