When clicking data point of chart, open modal with data

Do you have an idea on how to accomplish this? I want to improve the chart in a way that when a datapoint is clicked, a modal opens with the data. Example: Monthly invoice amount chart I click on a bar of January, it shows me the invoices of January.

I've been thinking this too, I think we would need to add in link into the label that has an onclick event

I managed the link part and linking to index route. Managing filters to pass is a nightmare 😄 Chance for a plugin, I would pay money for.
