Redirect root to www for google sites
I am trying to redirect my root domain to www. so that it's compatible with google sites, as they do not support anything but www. When I go to my root domain it tells me the dns probe finished and "nx_domain." The issue here is that when I create a page rule to do this redirection, it requires me to change the dns record to proxied. However when I do this, google sites doesn't work, and that seems to be a pretty widespread thing. I don't understand why google cares if the traffic is proxied through cloudflare. So what I need help with is either getting google to work with the proxied dns, or redirecting root to www. without proxying the dns records. Thanks!

add a separate record for the root thats proxied, keep the www record unproxied
I think it is configured correctly now. Can you test it to make sure? Domain is bicyclesplusma.com
I can show you our records if you need
looks fine
Did it resolve at the root? We have one machine here that is unable to resolve it which is quite odd
?dns-cache
DNS cache
Resolving DNS entries is complex and involves many parties (your browser, your operating system, your router and then your ISP's resolver).
Any and all of these intermediaries can potentially cache your DNS request and serve stale content, even though you just updated it.
Quick fixes:
1. Use a different browser
2. Restart your PC
3. Change your DNS from your ISP's to Cloudflare's: https://one.one.one.one/dns/#setup-instructions
it happens, if you accessed it before the record was active itll be cached, as long as it works on other machines you can ignore it and it'll sort itself out given enough time or by trying those steps
it does resolve for me, yes, and looks to be configured correctly
I tried it in TOR and that worked so I think that's pretty conclusive
indeed
Awesome thanks for the help
