How do I get the funk out of my gym shirts?

My gym shirts are polyester and they smell every time I wash them, and they finish drying. I’ve tried the dryer. I’ve tried air drying. I’ve tried vinegar in the rinse. They still smell

Yeah you basically want to create an environment that’s as hard for a bacteria to survive in as possible - so high temperature and as much toxic reactive chemicals as possible

Oxi clean on warm or hot wash will get it out

Use the hottest setting and any of the oxyclean/vanish/tide ultra oxy etc type products. If they are already white you could even add a bit of good old fashioned bleach in the mix

Don’t bleach your shirts if they have any spandex (elastane, Lycra). If they are 100% polyester it should be okay.

Also, if you're not going to wash them immediately get in the shower after the gym with them on to rinse them out.
