Sweater Advice
Hey,
Thinking of making a big purchase on a sweater and selling one of the ones I have. The two I'm considering are a Margaret Howell fair isle in medium weight wool and a Margaret Howell cardigan in medium weight geelong wool. Which would you prefer?
Thanks!

Also looking for advice on what to pair each with
No hate for MH but I'd just look on ebay for similar. You can probably get a brown cardigan like on the right for <$50
Depends on the exact details you care about tho, the front pockets, drop shoulder and cropped cut would be tougher to find
the fair isle looks less unique to me unless you're super attached to that pattern
I actually think the fair isle is a fairly unique color scheme that isn’t typically associated with the legacy manufacturers
And I certainly find it unique enough if I want the MHL one I’d get it instead of a replacement
I think the cardigan can be easily substituted for a less expensive version if you’d like
Both are fairly easy to pair with regular jeans
I like the fair isle
Always in favour of more Margaret Howell representation
I agree with char on the cardigan though
Like the cardigans here: https://www.ebay.com/str/genuinescottishknits
are quite possibly made in the same woollen mill as mhl made in scotland stuff is

Thank you all!
Yeah that's what I was thinking. When I look up black fair isles on ebay, I just don't get something that similar. It is worth considering that the price difference is like $150
Like here's an example from eddie bauer
Would you get these mittens for $58? Seems steep though I think they look cool. It'd save me $20 in shipping
The sweater is $290. I should sell my other sweater before I buy it.
Yeah the MHL one is much cuter
I don’t have an answer since I don’t live in the cold but my gut says no
Thanks!
Not a bad price for mittens if you like the style.
