right then, looks like I SOLVED IT, (i use those terms loosely because i have just started a new save).there seems to have been either a bad save, or a mod conflict, after starting a new save, removing all mods, no crashes, have around 45 mods installed now. so far no crashes. i'm guessing something broke, or i had a bad mod installed i was unaware of.

triggered by @ozmodsthe crash part is:
which is all base-game code... weird...
any suggestions? i tried the command line, i was able to walk some distance, this time it didnt crash, i read some posts regarding the exception access violation and they seem to think it's a gpu driver or the gpu itself, which it cant be, it's barely 12months old. i bought a brand new box for starfield(yeah fk up so sue me lol)... i hardly never had a crash with 0.8.
does it still happen with mods turned off in the mod manager? does it still happen on an entirely new save file?
if i have no mods installed, the game runs pretty much no problems. soon as i use mods, thats when it throws me out. and yes no matter if it's a new or old save same result

Follow this flowchart to troubleshoot issues caused by mods (crashes, unexpected behavior, etc.). More information can be found on the docs: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#_how_can_i_troubleshoot_crash_issues
i'm using the cmd line, i'll copy that to a txt file, it seems it's the only way i can get the game to run without booting me every few minutes.

Glad it worked out. I suggest you to always make backups before installing new mods
