Are these back pockets normal?
I got this pair of Ralph Lauren flannel trousers second hand. I think the fit is fine, but the pockets are in kind of a weird place (or at least I’ve never seen them like this before). They’re like all the way to the side of the back panels, rather than in the centers. Is there a name or interesting history for this design, or is this is just a weird pair?

Yeah I agree it looks kinda weird. Did a previous owner get the waistband and seat extended? That's the only reason I could think it would look like that, combined with the on-seam pockets.
Personally I'm not a fan and there are a lot of other gray flannel trousers out there to try instead.
The seam on the seat looks slightly different part way up. I’d guess a previous owner had the seat let out. Would be able to tell with pics of the inside seam of the set and the seams on the outside of the legs
Yeah, I think it’s been let out. There’s no seam allowance left on the seat.
It’s also darker than I wanted, but since it’s secondhand, I guess I’ll keep it in the closet and play around with styling it, especially for colder days where I’m gonna have a coat on.
