Yo @Jann are you on wifi or cable ?
wifi my laptop doesnt support cable
dont hv the adapter thing too
im in the range and im still experiencing it
@lyra [ping for reply] will do some basic troubleshooting with you when fam wakes up :val_KekwSob:
It could be caused by your home network.
maybe
ill prolly buy an ethernet adapter n see how tht goes since i hv some cable lyin around alrdy
cables*(ethernet)
Try restarting your router as well
i've done it too many times for its own good
ong
good morning too you too
erm
@Jann open cmd and do zie command
ipconfig
find that part and remeber the ip address
then do
ping 192.168.1.1 -n 100
and replace 192.168.1.1
with the ip you found here ^
then when its done running there will be a summary, take a screenshot of it and send it in here
should look sum like this(values can vary)
@lyra hi lyra, soooooo mine ran 100 packets(hopefully thts normal) and here are the results
i haven't played valo today lemme see if it got fixed
i also submitted a ticket in the riot help section and they told me to use ping plotter for 2 ip addresses
(i used TMR since i had it installed a while back and here are the results - if that helps too)
2 minutes of run time each
i believe both are riot server ids
this is wht the ling spike looks like on a graph
moreover even other games like roblox, recieve lag spikes too
If this is the case, it’s most likely an issue with your connection to your internet, or your internet’s connection to the web, rather than strictly a valorant connection issue.
Yes, that’s normal, it’s that the -n 100 argument was.
ahh my brain didnt think when i typed tht in lol
so shld i contact the isp then?
nop
issue is between your computer and router
160ms spike
11avg
try use eth :MenheraThumbsUp2:
i can only use wireless as my router is in my parents room till we shift (which is in like 10 months)
any other solutions like buyin anoher router or smn?
is your cpu overheating
how do i check?
laptop
btw
idk bro i also use laptop
i just bought a laptop cooler to cool down my pc
try updating your drives
because my intel core is i7
how do i update my dribers
drivers*
i promise you im not this dumb
go to nvidia
rhen search for latest hard drivers
then go to control panel on windows 11 tab
then delete your old drivers
then install the new ones on nvidia website
wait when you go to control panel find apps and drivers thingy idk what its called again
then delete those old nividia drivers
thats not the problem
the problem is that your connection to your router is unstable
Solution
use Ethernet
or move next to the router
that's basically all that can fix it
ok
ill check tht lyra
oh
sor man
i dont know alot of stuff about laptops
dang
yo that worked @lyra im at a stable 47
the ping is definitely increasin when i move away from the routet(the tall thingy on my praent's desk)
wait wait wait
give me 5 minutes
if what i think is the reason i will crash out ong
nope it isnt
its distance
i thought bcuz a few days ago started using usb c instead of usb 3 but nah
that isnt it
if definitely is distance frm the router affecting the ping
told you
its pretty odd that even when i sit 5 meters away the wifi goes to shit(through walls ofc)
