15in MBA vs 14in MBP
Currently on the lookout for a new laptop, and wondering if i should go for which one
any of ya'll have experience with both? tbh i'm a bit more inclinced to pick the MBA just for the bigger screen while still being portable
only thing that makes me second guess is that i live tropical country (so higher ambient temp), and i also do ML (although i'll prob outsource higher workloads to the cloud)
What do you think, which one should i go for?

Also, i'll prob go with 24gb of RAM (unless 16gb is enough for workloads that include docker, i don't think it is)

Be aware that video ram and ram are the same. I was not aware of that at first but if you will keep your MBA longer then 2 or 3 years I would probably go with the 24gb MBA.
For the screen resolution honesty I have be content with the 14 inch mac book pro for screen size but I went with a smaller screen for portablity
Same here - I used to do opposite. Now I learned, that portability is more important for me, so I went with 13" Framework Laptop. If given choice above (15" MBA vs 14" MBP), I'd probably go with 14" MBP.
And for any kind of development with docker, no ram is enough ram. Unfortunately anything more versatile (e.g. app + database + some mail mocking server) will eat through OSX ram if given time.
@Rivenris aight thanks, ig ill prob go with the 14inch MBP 24GB
i'm guessing setups with an external monitor for this are good enough for home use?
i'm guessing setups with an external monitor for this are good enough for home use?Well, that's highly subjective question. For me external monitors (+the laptop one) are way to go for my working desks, and for travel I use laptop only. But taste differs and changes.
