Broken EZ-Solder Pin
Hi everyone,
I just assembled my first Corne but ran into an issue with the EZ-Solder sockets. While trying to remove the Nice!Nano from the sockets, I accidentally broke a pin on the header. The broken pin is labeled 106 on the Nice!Nano.
Is there any way to fix this?

That's unfortunate! It's tricky to remove the nice!nano sometimes.
Pin 106 corresponds to column 3. If you're comfortable with soldering, you can try to solder a wire directly from the PCB to the nice!nano. Check out the Corne Wireless troubleshooting guide for the pinout.
If you're not comfortable with that, you can try to replace the header. You can find replacement headers on our store.

what do you mean by "broke", for me the pin partially came out , but i was carefully able to press together the feet and reinset the pin. there is a chance it could possibly be reinserted or bent back.
Mine just broke in half while I was trying to remove the controller from the socket. I guess the only option for me is to replace the header.
I have the spare EZ-Solder headers, but I left them in the storage in another city. I won't be there for 2 months. So I was wondering, maybe there's a header that's popular enough for me to get close to where I am. Or there's some WA I could go with while I don't get to the spare headers.
I'm fairly sure that pin is unused on the corne 🤔

I've finished putting it together and ran it without the batteries. Everything seem to be working fine. By the time I'll get the batteries, I should get to the spare headers, so maybe I'll resolder them.
For now I can just enjoy my new corne 😃 .
