printing with 0.4 nozzle,
first layer test seems fine, z height seems fine
probably speed related
is that first image there still the first layer on the bottom of the image?
But I see
- way too fast printing
- maybe wrong PA
- first layer might be too close
- (maybe even wrong temperature)
the first image is after a few layers, the first layer seems to be OK but further layers at higher speed has huge gaps, and these weird large.... lines of filament coming off. it literally starts to throw filament everywhere despite still laying down filament
i am doing a pressure advance test right now and im not seeing anything similar on the towers
oh and partcooling can be too high
Try an easy fix - limit the max volumetric speed for the material to 15mm³/s or even less
testing that now
another thing, make sure your nozzle is really a .4 and not a .6
and that you have hot tightened it
the black stock one is a .6
Yeah. The 4/6 thing has got a lot of people
I am 100% running the 0.4s because a warped bed destroyed my 0.6
And it’s silver
Already seeing somewhat better results after doing this
It’s not spraying filament everywhere and actually laying it down
Still not enough first layer squish. The skirt lines should be flatter.
Ive stopped using the save z offset. I add an adjustment to the filament gcode.
Also, what filament brand?
