Hi,

I have a problem with the height map calibration: The Probe Path exceeds the maximum of allowed x for the idex (single Mode). (RatOS 2.1 RC) Is there a way to narrow the height map measurement, so that it does not exceed xmax?

What machine? VC4? Can you post the asked files in rules? Can you also post a printscreen of the error? Please, provide more info

VC4 Idex: I somehow missed the disclaimer, that the idex stuff is sort of Beta Test. - Height Map isn't working, because the trail for measurement exceeds the allowed x range for the idex, wich is narrower (400 ) than for non idex (460). -And in the Picture below, there are two errors at once: First, the cam freezes when entering VAOC Mode, after a few seconds, and there is no second try without rebooting the host system (Raspi 4). Otherwise the Vaoc won't start because it never gets a cam in second run. This is no hardware error, because the same cam declared as a webcam makes no problems. So I tried to use the lower right corner of the RatOS Window as a target mark. So I could calibrate the nozzles that they land on my mark when I switch them. Time to go over the the Z Calibration? No. Vaoc complains in the red box about unexpected values and demands a reset macro. That is 2.1. RC2, officially marked as pre-release because of there is no documentation. And, what I read here often: Do the updates. Yeah, but it did not help with the cam stuff. On the contrary, I had to reinstall it all back to the release stuff, because after that updates, it refused to accept a one day old gcode file of a one day old prusa slicer installation, because of having something of an unsupported slicer... It was sliced with RatRig VCore 4 Parameters (wich lacks PLA by the way.) All Hardware is totally standard and exclusively Part of the original actual RatRig VCore 4 Idex Package and my only change was the nozzle cam as a webcam (because of the cam freeze) and the changes in the crownest.cfg according to the Idex Comissioning. Oh, it's not just the window. It responds even to zooming. Only that it shows an old picture and won't reconnect to the cam stream again, no matter what service I restart. Only reboot helps. Had that with a ssd and an sd card, so it's probably not something with the file system. The green Color is sort of an extra. Normally, the picture just freezes.

It's a brand new actual vc4 idex (I think it's clippers habit to show the last valid position. Because the limits in the printer.cfg are unchanged at 400 for the T0.)

so before you use VAOC you need to do the DC endstop calibration as described in the commissioning guide the probe error can be solved by raising the mesh resolution also, if you open a support thread please share always the debug.zip file, you can find it on the left side in the navigation drawer in the ratos configurator
That is 2.1. RC2, officially marked as pre-release because of there is no documentation.
documentation is already publically available on the ratos website os.ratrig.com
it refused to accept a one day old gcode file of a one day old prusa slicer installation, because of having something of an unsupported slicer
this is a safety measurement to ensure that you dont run any gcode that is not supported. you can disable this feature completely if you want, you are also able to use any slicer if you want to also, please share always exact error messages screenshots to make the supprot work easier i cant say anything about the camera issue, but the debug.zip file i earler mentioned contains a webcam logilfe that could help to find the issue maybe @miklschmidt can help you with the camera
Time to go over the the Z Calibration? No. Vaoc complains in the red box about unexpected values and demands a reset macro.
we need the debug.zip file and the actual screenshot of the error message to help you with it also, for the future please choose some better title for the support thread that describes the actual issue

This is why I asked, thanks!

bc RC2 is the currently availabe image, after installing it you need to update to the higher RC which has the doc

By doing the " DC endstop calibration" you probably referring to 9. Run the following command: CALCULATE_DC_ENDSTOP Wich had the result:

Update to higher RC's via Machine/Update/Update all Components? Or does this "higher RC" update requieres something different?

Okay, did that. And it solved the Height Map Issue. And the VAOC (only that the z limit had to be lowered to -15 insted of -5) Thank you for help and patience ! 💯 (And with that, I'm done with the whole initial config. I can live with that freezing cam window... as long I can see it in another window.) But I don't dare to smash a champaign bottle onto the frame 🙂

-15 is way too low… Either something is wrong or that should be around -7, max
