Reload LODs on pregenerated world after removing SQLite file
I have pregenerated 2000*2000 world, when i've got swiss cheese problem with Chunky, i've deleted sqlite data of DH. Now i must visit places for saving them in lods, DH not trying to load distant lods themself in already pregenerated world.

Don't used Distant Generation. Disabled this before Chunky generation.
thats odd
/slowgen
World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium and Lithium, these mods can improve generation speed by a couple percent.
Make sure to remove the C2ME mod as it significantly slows down DH chunk generation by up to 35%.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)can you try the second part of the second section and tell me what you see?
5 mins, starting a game. For clean test deleted sqlite again, but pregenerated data still here (1gb+ map save).
Fun moment now. What left - my spawn (far) and loaded chunks under me when entered on map.
@Puhpine (GMT +2) i need to enable something there?
Because can't see any boxes now
weird
looks like you set the settings correctly
so
something is going wrong
When enabled Debug rendering
is there anything in the logs?
/logsstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.Interesting parts i guess
Same when changed preset to Agressive
yea im not sure where those errors come from
1. When i render chunks with Chunky, they load in distance after generation in realtime.
2. After this i delete sqlite
3. LODs load now only when i visited places and saves without problems.
yea i understand the problem
but i have no idea what the solution could be
can you try with just DH?
so make a backup of the world, remove every mod except DH, and try again
chunky radius 2000
chunky start
Chunky just checks already rendered map in 10 seconds without new rendering normally.
Ok, gonna try it
Enabled Distant Generations and mod trying to generate everything themself
or finally loading generated chunks
okay so just DH works
could be some mod incompatability then
Solution
So, solution is - Enable Distant Generation on prerendered map.
Gonna try last moment. I guess rendering by DH replaces Chunky rendered world now. Need to check before SOLVED checkmark.
So you disabled Distant Generation and then pregenerated chunks using Chunky? Did you also reenable Distant Generation after?
Yep
You sure you enabled Distant Generation after? Since in this screenshot, its disabled
Now gonna test one thing:
1. Chunky generation 100*100
2. Remove sqlite
3. Reenable Distant Generation
4. Check will replace DG already rendered parts from Chunky
So after enabling Distant Generation, LODs were now showing up, looking at the second screenshot? And until that point, you haven't had reenabled Distant Generated yet? Sorry if I'm missunderstanding.
Chunky only pregenerates chunks, it doesn't pregenerate LODs. So you need to have Distant Generation enabled after pregenerating with chunky, so DH can generate LODs from the pregenerated chunks and then render the generated LODs
Yep, my fault was is disabled generation.
