Multiplayer Passthrough/MR enabling

Okay update: I just spent extensive time with both OpenBrush and MultiBrush (paid app on the Meta Horizon store although it’s outdated, it’s still up) Overall OpenBrush's beta appears to be the best choice for co-op art, except for one important difference to me: Multibrush allows passthrough online co-op mixed reality. The OpenBrush beta doesn't allow 2 or more users to be in passthrough during live co-op gameplay whatsoever. Multibrush achieves the paradox by putting a virtual avatar of the other party in your passthrough surroundings, with no option for undo, and the home button recenters each person and can reposition their avatar in your mixed reality/passthrough world. At first I thought OpenBrush would handle the paradox similarly, or if not, then it would at least allow undo as an action. But it allows neither, unfortunately. So if two people want to co-op art but the passthrough is important for one or more players, then Multibrush seems to be the ideal solution for that specific use case.

We temporarily disabled Passthrough in multiplayer for this exact reason, but we’re working on it and will do one better - in local multiplayer cases you will be able to co-locate and the controllers will sync up with the physical user 🙂
