Looking for slubby jeans with a rise above 12 inched
I've recently gotten back into the raw denim game and purchased a few pairs that I absolutely love. Indigofera Kain, Ironheart 888, Sugarcane Okinawa and Oni Relaxed Straight Crushed Concrete. They all fit great, and they all have a rise that's 12 inches or greater. I'm good(for now) on denim with lots of nep, I'm looking for a slubby pair next.
I really love how these SDA jeans look, but the rise is a touch short at 11.5 inches for my size. I've got a long torso so a higher rise helps balance things out. Two questions:
1: Are there jeans with a comparable amount of slub and a 12 inch rise for a 34 inch waist?
2: Is a half inch lower rise even going to be noticeable? I have a tendency to overthink things so if it doesn't make a huge difference I may as well get the SDA.

Can't suggest you a pair of equally slubby denim (maybe PBJ makes something that might suit?), but personally half an inch can be noticeable, but not a deal breaker (might just change a little were they sit on you).
Interesting, the PBJ straight fit looks promising texture wise but there's some interesting variations in the reported rise measurements.
SelfEdge lists the rise for the one wash at 11 inches:

Okayama lists the one wash rise at 12 inches

Hinoya lists it as 29.5 cm so about 11.5

I've ordered from all three stores before and their measurements have been spot on for the jeans they've sold me, I'm wondering where the discrepancy comes in.

1cm variation in measurement from different stores could be justified by either measurement variability, or actual garment measurements difference. For rise measurement start position could play also a role (i.e. it's taken exactly from crotch seam?). Might be worth to ask the store a pic of how they are measuring them, or if possibile to measure the actual pair they would ship you.

Found them in a different store, apparently they're a very limited stock and pretty much sold out everywhere. There's only one in my size left. Going to grab them, thank you.
Hey that’s good to hear, I have these and they’re awesome. Glad you found some!! Even the regular non slub 1955s are hard to find so nice
I'm an idiot, I found a pair of 888s lol. The search continues.
