Unable to like moments

Im unable to like moments of other players without being friends! Is it necessary to be friends to like moments? But i was able to like other player posts without being friends! What setting they have to change inorder for me to like their post in moments?

Solution:

u can only like someones post when they post it to status plaza without being friends with them
