Sportcoat Fit Check
Is there a good guide for what to look for in sportcoat fit?
I got this tweed sportcoat off eBay. My suits are usually a 38S. This is a 40R cause my suits fit a bit trim with a collared shirt, and I intend to wear this more casually over chunky sweaters. Sleeves are long for sure. There’s a bit of shoulder divoting when my arms aren’t straight. Shoulders hang like .5-1 inch over.
Overall, this doesn’t look too bad to me for the price, but wondering if there’s any details I’m not spotting. I don’t usually wear suits or sport coats so I’m branching out and looking to learn!

I’ve been going to my dry cleaner for hemming pants. I think she does sleeves. Should I find someone more specialized in menswear for jacket sleeves, or is it pretty routine?
If they do a good job on the pants hem I don’t see why it’d be bad to take the jacket to them. Up to you tho and it can’t hurt to spend a few minutes on google maps/yelp to see what other options are around
You can also ask her to retain as much of the sleeve fabric as possible, so it can be let down if she doesn’t get it quite right
