Problem or proposal for Infinite Splines

This is a suggestion to solve a problem.
With Infinite Splines, the problem is that the range is such that if you look higher and there are connection points somewhere in the world, you will look for one and if there are a lot of them along the way, there will be a significant drop in performance. I mean a significant drop, it goes down to 1 FPS.
Hence my suggestion to keep the length, but limit the search for connection points to around 50 to 100 m from the player.

I've thought about it again. If possible, I tend to narrow the search down to 25 to 50 m, over 50 m would not be so good.
