cant install mods
a fieuw days ago i went from windows 10 to 11 i had to erase everything from my 1TB NVME .all my mods where uninstalled but working in satisfactory when i reinstalled satisfactory but in the smm all the mods that im using are working in satisfactory but are showed as not installed and its says : "this mod is installed as a dependency of another mod. it cannot be installed or removed on its own" idk how to fix this bc only the mods that i used in windows 10 are having this issue. does some one know how to fix this and why i can stil use my mods while there are not even installed ??

This happens if the mods are listed in the lockfile, but not in the profile. I guess the drive you erased was
C:, but the game is installed somewhere else, so that the lockfile (and the mods) survived?
Pressing the mods on button would have synced the lockfile with the profile, so it would have solved the problem, meaning the mods would have been uninstalled, but you could then install them again
As for why you could use the mods, it's because they were installed, SMM simply copies the mod files to where they should go, so if your game drive survived, the mods were still there, it's just that SMM was thinking you didn't click install on them, but they were actually installed, and the only normal way for that to happen is if that mod is a dependency of another mod...9 Replies

No, mods are installed in the game install dir itself
And SMM profiles are in
%appdata%\ficsit, if you want to restore themoh ok
its fixed now
and i installed all my mods
and i can play satis again with all mods installed and working
