Weird lag, then it stopped?
Hi,
Had random lag, then it stopped and went back up to 20 TPS.

Quite a lot of item frames there
And the cpu
there's a lot of entities around x: 1950, z:208
Where?
it's near where I said
^
they're all in that region
that region has over half of the overworld's entities
How weird it's just a goat farm
Oh jheez
there's like 200 chickens somewhere
Do you think a mob stacker plugin would help?
probably just tell them to chill with the mob farms
So you don't think it's hardware?
Or you do, you mentioned the CPU
I mean, the i7-6700 it has isn't exactly fast anymore
It was only a cheap dedi via hetzner lol
you can also reduce simulation distance
And try pufferfish
& that will work with all paper plugins?
yep
Awesome
Yours is here
Yikes
Score 2288
Do you think it will be better to cancel the dedi and move to a hosting company like PebbleHost?
for reference
I'm also new to trying hosts, I was using vps
I asked about hostings a while ago, give me a min
on hetzner, you can get a 7700 for 60eur/mo or a 8700GE for 45eur/mo

Check this thread
I came from hosting fully on vps
imo though, it depends if you want to actually administrate your server using a web panel, or if you want root/command line access
I like having root access, using a panel feels a bit weird to me
I run more than just minecraft on my dedi, so I might as well just use the dedi for minecraft
or a ovh ryzen 7 7900x
for 60
didn't know it was that cheap
rise-s
Currently I run it on a dedi with a ptero installed
I considered a dedi to host some of my stuff, but it's too expensive for me atm
Thanks for you help guys!
Only issue with Pufferfish is they don't support 1.21.1?
Check older builds
Pufferfish Host | Downloads - Pufferfish Fork
Download Pufferfish and Pufferfish+ Minecraft server jars
build 21 of 1.21.3 is actually 1.21.1
8 to 21 are 1.21.1
Ah ok
ye probably yes
unless you need all of those threads and ram.
