Ive had a jacket i really like for a while, I got it because i liked Robert De Niro's brown leather jacket in the Irishman however it was recently pointed out to me that its also similar to Indiana Jones' which would be fine except i'm about to go and study archeology and i'm wondering are people going to think i'm just half cosplaying as Indiana Jones now? (along side it I usually wear a simple solid colour shirt (white, black, grey, red, blue) and black or dark grey trousers sometimes jeans if im working outside.) Do you think it will be seen as cringe or tacky by people who think i think i'm Indiana Jone because of this jacket?

as someone actively following a clothier who specializes in jones cosplay materials, i think you’ll be okay if you avoid safari shirts and aim more for pairing your coat with color.

It’s just a normal leather jacket I wouldn’t worry about it at all
Anyway it would be very cool to cosplay as Indiana Jones as a real archaeologist

In all seriousness Indiana Jones wears a style of leather jacket that was just super popular at the time, because it’s similar to an A2 flight jacket. Tons of people have these. And if you don’t want to look exactly like Indy (which still would be cool because Harrison Ford is the coolest man to ever walk this earth and has arguably done more for the public impact of archeology than anyone else) just get an A2 jacket and it’ll be a bit different.
