Reigning Champ thoughts?

Im a big lululemon whore, their style is simple and minimalistic with a premium feel. I read that RC now move their production outside of canada. How is the quality of their clothing? Im trying one right now but I don’t feel the clothes are premium compared to lululemon. Any recommendation which clothes should I check?

When you say you don't feel it's 'premium,' does that mean you've handled and worn their clothes? Or is this just because they've moved production outside of Canada? Because Lulu does not make their clothes in Canada, and where things are made isn't a consistent metric of quality.

I worn it today. It doesn’t feel premium for me. I tried the one that has made in canada tag. Im wearing city sweat hoodie from lulu right now and it feels smooth in my skin. The texture is great, the stitching is well crafted. While the reigning champ hoodies feels like standard hoodies. It feels rough to my skin. I was in the notion that RC is the male counterpart for Aritzia. Aritzia clothes are well made. Specially the sweatpants and sweatshirt which is kinda similar to Roots in terms of feel The RC hoodie feels like a more thick hoodie

RC isn't really the "male counterpart," it was just purchased by Aritizia. RC was initially the casual-arm of Wings + Horns. I'd say that if you don't like how it feels when you wear it, it's not for you.

Maybe it is not for me. Im moving out to lulu and want to try similar brands with the same premium feel

RC has a lot of unbrushed French Terry fabric which is different than the soft poly fleece from atheleisure brands. I’m not sure what you mean by “premium” as the garments are just different. RC is often more rugged and draws from vintage workout gear vibes. I don’t particularly like my RC hoodie bc I want my sweats to be a soft and comfy brushed fleece, but “premium” isn’t very descriptive to me.

it sounds like their fabric isn't for you, it has nothing to do with quality.

Yea maybe its the fabric. That i got used to the smooth texture feel instead of rugged and rough feel

as beans and ler have both said, premium isn't a very helpful descriptor because premium means different things to different people. Describing fabric as smooth vs rough is much more helpful

Also, if you like lululemon you can also keep buying that. No need to move on if it works for you.

I just feel like its gonna be stale design. So I want to venture out to different style

Are you looking for graphics then? Or different cuts/silhouettes?

More like different cuts More casual and not athletic style

This might be a bit pedantic but RC seems like they're styled athletically imo. If you're a fan of LLL but want to branch out a bit, maybe Arc'teryx Veilance is worth a look. Tilak is pretty nice too but not as commonplace.

Have you looked at House of Blanks?

They produce the sweats / cotton goods for ALD, Adsum, Supreme, etc. They're top shelf. Their tees fit similarly to ALD if you're familiar with the brand. RC are shorter / cropped while HoB's are longer, which is great if you've got the physique for em.

How is the sizing? I find that Im medium in RC and small on lulu another thing is im not tall too

Here's a midweight tee and a relaxed fit hoodie. I went M in the tee and sized up to L in the hoodie.

You should note that Veilance is hilariously expensive

They’re def pricy but sales and second hand are viable options. Idk if there’s any alternatives that perform at the same level fwiw.

Yeah its a very specific thing, the cost is justified given the materials and production
