Mods folder missing on server
Loaded new version of modpack onto a server, mods folder is missing entirely. Modpack is Odysseum version Beta 2.4, 2.3.1 and before were working. I am the creator of the pack so I can change things as needed.
Client side works fine. Nothing seems out of the ordinary in the export of the instance I made to upload to the curseforge site.

if the mods folder isn't even created, then the modloader itself is either failing (solution: redownload modloader and reinstall) or you're not interacting with the modloader when you try to start it
the actual pack export from curseforge doesn't contain the mods. They're downloaded from curseforge on the client using the manifest.json file. For servers, just create a .zip using windows from the client pack
Seems as if Valkyrien Skies is causing the issue somehow. It's on a ptero server
how are you installing a curseforge pack on pterodactyl?
It's a hosting service called UltraServers, they have a page in the panel that allows you to install modpacks straight from curseforge, modrinth, etc. For some reason Valkyrien Skies seems to be trying to access inaccessible ram locations or something causing the installation to fail. UltraServers support found that somehow it doesn't happen on Ryzen CPUs (7950X3D in this case) but does on Epyc CPUs (9654)
Also it load like 900 PIDs or something, but their max is 2048. Ngl I'm not even sure what those are, other than thru have to do with physics objects it think
They're not sure why Ryzen works ok
Neither am I
honestly just make a .zip of the client mods folder and upload it directly
Tried that, still happens.
the mod folder doesn't exist after you upload and unzip them?
My b I meant it just crashes
does it make a crash log in the crash reports folder
Ummm maybe lemme check
if it makes a crash log, send that; otherwise send your latest.log
Here's the first and last crash logs I got
We have uploaded your file to a paste service for better readability
Paste services are more mobile friendly and easier to read than just posting a file

Mod File: /home/container/mods/DistantHorizons-2.2.1-a-1.20.1-forge-fabric.jar
Failure message: Distant Horizons (distanthorizons) encountered an error during the sided_setup event phase
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: null
@Xi Jripping distant horizons isnt a server mod
Yes I know. On a previous version of the modpack (2.3.1) I noticed this and deleted it from the mods folder. For version 2.4 uploading the mods manually after them not installing and doing this again still results in crashing.
Failure message: Mod create_eureka requires vs_eureka 1.3.0-beta.4 or above
Currently, vs_eureka is not installed
did you solve this
Yeah it was either an extra mod that adds compatibility or changing the version of eureka to that exact version
Think it was the latter tho
it was not having eureka installed
It wasnt Eureka itself but a compatibility mod I'm pretty sure. Anyway it made the client side work but the server still crashed
