cedar shoe tree for maison margiela tabi

Got a couple of new Tabis and want to extend the life of them. Already went to the cobbler and had the the Sole Reinforced, I got some horse hair brush, leather cleaning kit etc and wanted to see what else I need to keep the tabis looking nice and fresh after a large expense of purchasing them.

Generally trees don’t greatly effect life of shoes, taking care of the leather will do that. Trees will just prevent a bit of toe curl and maybe decrease wrinkles

Just stuff them with tissue paper if you really want to But I don’t think you need to do anything, as @oman121 said. They already have extra structure because of the Tabi toe. I’ve had tabis for years without a shoe tree and they’re fine.

If anything, keep them in the dust bags if you don't wear thrm often otherwise ya general leather and sole care will do it

Cedar trees do one thing to extend the life of your shoes. They help the moisture come out of the inside of the shoe. So if you wear them a lot I recommend using them but stuffing newspaper inside your shoes between wears will have the same effect. For occasional wear a shoe tree won’t really do anything since the shoes will have time to air out in their own, just don’t wear them daily for longer stretches of time.
