Vintage florsheims
I’ve been eyeing some vintage miUSA Florsheim longwings on eBay lately, they remind me of my grandpa in a good way and I think they’d look good with tweed.
I’m looking at the 93602s. Does anyone have experience with those? Should I stick with my brannock size (I’m a 9.5D in Allen Edmonds and brannock). Any thing specifically I should look for or avoid? I’m aiming to spend ~$100. I’m also happy to hear other brands or style numbers that people recommend.

Vintage Florsheims tend to be vvv TTS. I'm surprised that your brannock and AE size (it depends on the shoe/last as well) are the same. But if your brannock is 9.5 then 9.5 is your best bet for sure.
I'd look out for tears and dryness in the uppers. At that price point the top-lines are going to be a bit of a mess most likely but I perosnally don't find that to be a deal breaker.
Good sole condition and if they've been resoled ideally it's done well and they should be much cheaper after a resole for otherwise similar quality.
For far too much information fall down the rabbit hole that's vcleat.com
The 93602 is the classic Florsheim model. They're awesome
sorry if I'm derailing a bit but why is it odd that AE and brannock would be the same? I'm 10d brannock and I've fit well in a few different pairs of 10d AEs
Thanks a lot this is great info. Is brannock and AE usually different? My 9.5 in AE are comfy and I remember being a 9.5 brannock but it’s been a few years.
it depends heavily on the model but I just haven't seen anyone fit into their brannock size well for most of the popular AE models like Park Aves, Strands, Achesons, etc.
ah fair i guess i got lucky with the models i got
haven't tried their oxfords so i guess their loafers and stuff might be more tts?
If they're comfy ignore me tho! That's more important than my world view about AE's weird lasts lol
