Jeans Alternative
What are some jeans alternatives outside of chinos for daily casual wear? Say going to the mall or whatever.

5pocket pants in other cloths, like cordurouy or wool or whatevr else
I will say that Wool pants that are neither super scratchy nor too glossy make for fun casual pants. Surprisingly comfortable.
do you just mean like, different types of pants other than jeans or chinos?
cargo pants, joggers, etc?
Cargo trousers or Fatigues might work as well.
like Ian says, is it the cut/format of jeans you don't like or the fabric?
OG 107s
I want to kind of have an idea what array of choices I have outside of jeans, but I think the main reason why I'd wanna wear something else is big part the fabric and partly the cut. The latter I can probably just find different jeans for tho
for instance I was unaware of fatigue pants and 5pocket pants or corduroy pants or wool pants
there are many many options for pants, but also not so many options if you know... like there are just a few archetypes which are most common and then tons of variation on those types
Linen and cargo pants also work for a softer, looser fit
“The fabric” - are you buying mall jeans? They’re not bad but 100% cotton or softer denim can be really comfortable
Yeah pretty much mall jeans
are you actively shopping/Christmas list building? You can find nice jeans $50-$100 both used and new that are far better than mall jeans
Nope, I don't really ever buy clothes truth be told
ah
yea you should google pants
and scroll and take that in
parachute women pants
I guess I have to...
perfect for strolling an Italian beach
is it applicable to other beaches, possibly?
got one 20m away, unfortunately (sorta) not Italian tho
forbidden
damn.
But yeah there’s tons of alternatives to jeans/chinos. just off the dome check out the following stores for their trousers:
Todd Snyder
Buck Mason
Billy Reid
Taylor Stitch
Not necessarily to buy but just see the variety and type of pants they sell
I see, I'll look around based on all the tips gotten here; basically compile a list and start Googling
You could also browse #waywt if you see something cool I’m sure people could tell you the details.
might even be worth checking stuff in #inspiration or #waywt to see what all is worn
good point actually, stealing pants from others
stealing fits is OP
things like sweatpants, the needles hd pant, painter or carpenter pants, 5 pockets, trousers in non-denim, etc all are options
Do canvas work pants like Dickies count as chinos?
