Manual Installation; Help!
I'm trying to install Iris on my modded 1.21 playthrough. Everything else I have installed via Curseforge, now just shaders are missing
What works fine:
1. I found a .jar file for iris, which should be compatible with that instance of MC. I have it from modrinth.com
Problem:
1. THE BIG ONE: There is no explanation for what to do with the file I downloaded., because....
2. The Installation Guide is sorely out of date:
a. There's only ever written about a Fabric Enviroment.
b. In the section for manual installation, there's talk about letting an installer run. There are no files I can download, that are for neoforge, my version
(1.21) and are executable. c. The Installer I did find (for Installation on Vanilla Profile) looks completely different to the pictures in the guide. So my actuall question would be: Where do I put the IRIS file in my MC installation? Or do I hav to do more than just put that in the right folder?

1. Mod jars go in the mods folder inside your modpack’s .Minecraft folder
2. What John said; 1.21 is not recommended as it was quickly replaced by 1.21.1. It’s especially not recommended for NeoForge because newer versions of NeoForge Iris do not work on 1.21
3. The installer can only be used for the vanilla launcher (this excludes basically all third-party launchers—CurseForge, Modrinth, Prism, etc.) and only makes a Fabric installation. There is no option to create a NeoForge installation with the installer...

Additionally: Any and all mods that are marked as compatible with MC 1.21 just aren't compatible apparantly...
1.21 is not to be used anyway
1.21.1 is a hotfix and widely supported
