Troubleshoot trying to run, stream and record Indiana Jones and The Great Circle.

Hey guys, I tried to stream earlier today, and since have been trying to troubleshoot both the game Indiana Jones and The Great Circle as well as OBS. The game acts weird, randomly running fine and then tanking down to 20fps or less regardless of my settings. Most recent I was able to get the game running smooth by itself (I am still in the starting area), but then the game just TANKED when I opened OBS to do a test recording. While OBS was running it would randomly go from tanking to running fine, and then back to tanking. Im just not sure what I am doing, because from what i can tell, my system should be able run the game and OBS at the same time without issue. But maybe Im wrong. Here are my computer specs copied from Nvidia App: NVIDIA system information report created on: 12/13/2024 23:06:08 NVIDIA app version: 11.0.1.184 Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, Version 10.0.22631 DirectX runtime version: DirectX 12 Driver: Game Ready Driver - 566.36 - Thu Dec 5, 2024 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF RAM: 64.0 GB Storage (7): SSD - 3.6 TB,HDD - 931.5 GB,+5 more Graphics card GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Direct3D feature level: 12_1 CUDA cores: 7680 Graphics clock: 2625 MHz Resizable bar: Yes Memory data rate: 21.00 Gbps Memory interface: 192-bit Memory bandwidth: 504.048 GB/s Total available graphics memory: 44976 MB Dedicated video memory: 12282 MB GDDR6X System video memory: 0 MB Shared system memory: 32694 MB Video BIOS version: 95.04.3c.c0.d2 IRQ: Not used Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen4 Device ID: 10DE 2782 40E81458 Part number: G141 0333 Display (1): Asustek Computer Inc VG27AQL1A Resolution: 2560 x 1440 (recommended) Refresh rate: 144 Hz Desktop color depth: Highest (32-bit) Display technology: G-SYNC Compatible HDCP: Supported Display (2): BenQ GL2460 Resolution: 1080p, 1920 x 1080 (native) Refresh rate: 60 Hz Desktop color depth: Highest (32-bit) HDCP: Supported I will include OBS settings in a reply.

OBS stuff: I am streaming to Youtube for the main Stream Window The Multiple Output is going to Twitch And i think everything else is self explanatory. I DID get everything to play nice for a little bit during the end of the first round of fiddling with stuff. But then when i double checked about an hour ago everything stopped working again. If anyone has any tips or thoughts or anything id appreciate it. thanks!

For your various recording things on nvenc, drop preset to p1 as you are using cqp. This will be far less taxing For the twitch output, don't use low latency tuning. It doesn't really do what it sounds like

Sweet, ill give those a shot. Thank you! any idea why the game would drop to 2 fps (from 60 and running smooth) when i just OPEN obs? and not even having OBS do anything other than being open?

Are you opening OBS mid-game, or are you saying that you already have OBS running and that is causing issues in game?

I've tried it both ways (but by Mid Game, I'm usually in the start menu or in the first area since I haven't gotten to play much) I changed my settings according to AMD(rare) User, and then tried a few more things yesterday based on reddit info i found some people giving others: ran obs in safe mode, tried deleting media sources, ran a clean install of OBS with nothing on it, made sure my current obs was updated, etc. By the end of me trying I somehow got it to work, but I couldn't tell you how. I was just turning plugins and sources off and on randomly and it eventually started playing nice with the game. But who knows if it will today when I try it again.
