Can I use the battery without the head to plug in the board

You can solder the battery directly to the B+ and B- pads on the nice!nano, but this means you will lose the ability to use the power switch. If you choose this method, ensure that you connect the battery with the correct polarity to avoid damaging the board. However, we recommend using the JST connector for easy installation and the ability to turn the keyboard on and off with the power switch. If you have any more questions about battery installation, feel free to ask!
Is it possible to buy the head for the wires to plug in the board?
yes, i bought the head for the wires, found it on a rc planes store
If crimping isn’t your thing I found some pre-assembled heads, soldered them one wire at a time to the battery with heat shrink wrap.
you can also remove the jst connector and solder directly to the + and - where the jst connector was
then you would still be able to use the on off switch
