Should I use AV1 or h264 for recording on arc a380?
I record at 1440p60fps and like to use CBR cus often do I find CQP or ICQ to eat up tons and tons of storage in some clips more motion heavy clips and usually dont really look as good as just recording in CBR. For av1 which iv been using for awhile I record at 25000kbps and would it really be required to up the bitrate more to get more quality out of the h264 recorder or is it just fine as it is?
I read in some places about how you really shouldn't use AV1 at higher bitrates because the encoder loses its big bonus of really efficent encoding and is extremely similar to other encoders above around 15000kbps.
In the ss I showed from my own perception the H264 encoding seems to have these weird lines in the black compared to the av1 which has none of the lines, im not entirely sure if this would appear in actual gaming videos somehow and I'm not exactly too sure what is causing that.

You should be using AV1 because it's more efficient, but you should be using CQP for recording instead of CBR. CQP will dynamically change the bitrate for the current frame to keep it at a certain quality level. Lower values mean higher quality target
CQP 18 for AV1 will be basically visually perfect (the h264 equivalent would be like CQP 14), but you can go lower if you think you need higher quality
