Going to Puducherry this February. What should I be wearing?
I’m leaving for a 2 week school trip in Puducherry and I have no idea what to wear because of the weather and social norms there. Can someone help me figure out?

clothes perhaps
oh my god
i hadn’t thought abt that…
gonna level with you man i have no idea what puducherry is, you really have to provide more than the bare minimum when you're asking these questions. what kind of trip?
I think the Indian community here is pretty small, so you might actually be SOL
If it’s a school trip I’d ask the lead teacher/professor/guide. once you know if you should wear a suit or shorts or whatever people could help you pick good versions of those .
Dress for the weather, social norms are typically very similar to the USA / Europe in terms of casual clothing (t shirts, casual button up shurts, shorts, sandals, etc). It's hot in Tamil Nadu in December, can rain as well
It’s a trip to south India with school
Basically I’m asked to dress according to the weather (which is dumb cuz that’s obvious) but there are no other infos on what I should were except that it should cover most of the body cuz social normes are really strict there (probably religion-related).
I can’t wear shorts or tee shirts (not sure about that one) so long but light clothes because I think it’s really hot there and I even feel hot when it’s cold 😭
I’ve travelled to Senegal where the expectation was to dress in pants and a collared shirt. I had to pack light so I had a like one linen shirts and two “performance” polos. For pants you want light weight but also loose fitting.
What brands would you recommend for linen clothes, in resonable prices like Uniqlo
Uniqlo usually has a lot of linen, you could also check Muji (they do a lot of hemp, which is also suitable)
I actually don’t have a lot of linen anymore and this was a while back so I’ll defer to others.
