Few issues.

You seem to be running a Forge instance. The Iris version that you downloaded is for NeoForge, not Forge.
You have Oculus installed as well. Both Iris and Oculus are mutually exclusive. You install one over the other.
Iris does not support Embeddium. Iris requires using Sodium.
Any issues regarding Embeddium and Oculus are to be brought towards their respective teams.

ah, was hoping to use distant horizons + shaders in my modpack, so would I use iris and sodium?

If you're going Forge, you ain't getting Iris woring at all. All versions of Iris for Forge have been pulled due to unfixable issues.
