this is the sizing of my other suit
and fit pic
It sounds like you just want something basic and easy. Why not just go to a store like J. Crew and get something off the rack, then tailor it?
Suit thread round 2
cant afford that really
Ah I see
i dont want to spend more than 200 tbh
eBay
BROOKS BROTHERS Mens Suit 2 Piece Set Size 46R Jacket Blazer Pants ...
👉Material: Wool blend. 👉 Total extra fabric to let out waist if necessary -Approx:2". 👉 Total extra fabric to lengthening sleeves if necessary -Approx:2".
But also when you say you can't find a suit in your size do you need you're looking for every measurement to be precisely or like you can't find your generic suit size (like 46R)
there is this suit but seems expensive for the model
theres surprisingly little full suits on ebay
especially in a 46R
and then also in black
Low ball this guy
i tried
he wouldnt take it
i even offered up to 160
he countered 186
if u have a deadline id just go for this suit. <$200 for a full suit seems like a great deal to me.
True.. what about shoes and belt?
I’ll see if I can get it cheaper than the listing
For shoes and belt you're so budget constrained (and I presume time constrained?) that I'd prolly just going to a department store and buying a black belt and a pair of blaack leather derbies, bluchers, or oxfords with a black sole to match (doesn't have to be leather)
As always tho, worth creating a generic ebay search and seeing what pops up rn
Ok do you think that suit listed is actually black?
I need black for the pics.. everyone was told to wear black lol
I’m afraid it’s dark grey
The brooks brothers suit above says it is grey in the description
tbh a dark grey might be fine, idk what the event is but unless everyone is wearing matching suit (same fabric) they're going to look different anyway.
As always, you can probably ask someone and get some confirmation. The people you know going to the event know infinitely more than we do
It’s my sisters wedding
I showed her the pic and she said it’s fine but
Idk..
No one is wearing matching suits..
Just “black” but there’s no predefined black I know
Also u know how many suit shops don’t know what canvas construction is…
If the bride says it's fine then you're better than blessed by god
I’ve asked 2 seperate ones if the suits they sell any are half canvas
And they said oh the material is listed.. it’s wool
:xd:
She’ll say it’s fine and then be mad if it doesn’t matches everyone else 😂
As long as it matches enough to not look bad in pics I guess it’s fine
My other sister everyone wore different colors and she didn’t like that
Sales reps for department stores aren't going to know anything. Even most SRs for more "serious" brands like Allen Edmonds don't really know that much about what they're selling or skilled in fitting and such
If she said it's good then buy it and take the dub imo
Nah this was a suit and menswear store in the mall, idr the name
Just funny lol
U think it’s a good suit? I’m worried it won’t fit as well. It is 45R and not 46R
But the measures seem similar enough
I haven't looked too closely but slightly small if going to be tougher than slightly large. If it's not your size and the same brand/model as your previous suit I'd skip
Also double check the actual tag size too tho. Sometimes sellers will list the size they think it is rather than the tag for some reason
Is this based on the photo of the fit I posted?
This is a 45/40
other suit was a 46/41
same brand and cut
Honestly the 40 pant might not fit.. because the 41 is pretty good
I’m just having trouble finding anything else that looks as nice
In my size
No just in general. You can almost always take something in more, but there's only so far something can be let out
Yeah IK what you mean
other than losing weight lol
which i wont rely on
So long as it's close enough, a tailor can let out the hip/waist/thigh .5-1 in usually without issue. Depends on seam allowance
Is there a picture of inside waistband? That'll show waist and seat seam allowance and give you an idea
Is that usually expensive
Depends heavily on your tailor and location and what actually needs to be done
Well I don’t think that suit I posted will fit at all in the waist 😦
For da pants
