Short length type 2 raw denim jacket brands?
I want to find a boxy, short length type 2 jacket. I've already checked several brands, and I think Freewheelers, The Real McCoys, Mister Freedom (blouse not really a type 2), and possibly Warehouse Co offer that. Even though Sugar Cane was recommended, I checked the measurements and it's too long. What other brands should I look into? Thanks!

You seem to have a pretty exact length in mind. How long do you want it to be?
This one is around 1.5" shorter than the sugar cane one - https://redcastheritage.com/products/the-strike-gold-sgj50s-15oz-slub-grey-weft-type-ii-denim-jacket
Redcast Heritage Co.
The Strike Gold SGJ50S 15oz Slub Grey Weft Type II Denim Jacket
Based on an early 1950s vintage version of Levi's 507XX Type 2 denim jacket, The Strike Gold has meticulously reproduced this iconic piece using a top-notch fabric woven with super short cotton staples for the weft. The term 'staple length' refers to the average length of fibers within a sample of a cotton species. Lon
is that short enough or still too long?
My ideal length for neck seam to bottom seam for a 42 is around 55 cm. For back seam to bottom seam that would be 60cm. I could go maybe just a couple more cm extra.
I don't think I've seen any type 2's that are cropped that much unfortunately
Have you checked the Chinese manufacturers on Olderbest?
Be wary that type 2 jackets generally are just a touch longer than other truckers.
Still a bit too long for me but thanks anyway
Oh I thought the originals were supposed to be shorter for some reason. So a type 1 is shorter?
Type 1 is the boxiest
for example this has a 62cm back length in size 42 - https://www.denimio.com/en_GB/TRP2605.html?acgid=jackets
When you say boxy, does that mean just wider? Or longer too?
it means wider and more cropped
Shorter yes, but generally longer than a type 3 or 1 would have been in the same “era”
At least that’s how I remember it, like 80% sure about this
Interesting that it doesn’t have a back width adjustment strap buckle
Ok ill do some research into type 1s
just the first example I saw that was closest to the back length you wanted
Gotcha ok thanks
