howdy! I've got a fresh install of Minecraft, and downloaded the Iris/Sodium/Fabric 1.21.3 file from the official website and a few shaders, and whenever I load any shader, well... this happens!! any idea the cause of this issue or how to fix it?

does seriously no one know what's up with this...? :slugwhy:
mclo.gs - Paste, share & analyse your Minecraft logs
Easily paste your Minecraft logs to share and analyse them.
Obviously unable to recreate this using Nvidia driver 561.09 with a 4070 Super
Fabric 0.16.9 (current latest for 1.21.3), Sodium 0.6.1 and Iris 1.8.1
https://mclo.gs/P6dept4 log for good measure
so best you provide what I asked for as well
first off, thank you for responding!! I extremely appreciate it
second, well, I just booted up my PC and the problem appears to have fixed itself? in my stress of learning what's replaced Forge/Optifine since I last played, I forgot that the first step to troubleshooting an issue is a good ol' fashioned "turn it off and on again"
embarrassing, but hopefully that was actually the solution and this problem doesn't arise again!
speaking of Forge, don't use that for 1.20.2+, if anything look at the arguably better and more ethical alternative NeoForge
Optifine for obvious reasons isn't provided support for here nor will it if you were to use other mods and run into issues there
oh, no worries! I’m up to date on the goings-on of all that— I actually tried NeoForge with Embeddium/Oculus before turning to Iris, but it wouldn’t launch with Oculus in the mods folder for whatever reason
also it looks like NeoForge hasn’t been updated in several months, so Fabric it is!
I got the same issue on a mac M1 it disappears when relaunching the game but always comes back
Of course it's the M1 or any Apple product for that matter
I am pretty sure IMS is the only one really with a Mac, definitely not me
Only IMS have an M1 Mac. Even then, he doesn't use it to debug shaders, more like using it to write Iris when he's away from his main system.
