How many sweaters should I get?
I'm building a minimalistic wardrobe.
Sweatshirts and hoodies are considered athletic wear where I live, not casual, so I'm going with sweaters instead.
Aside from smart-casual outfits, which I will be getting another sweater/shirts for later on, how many sweaters do I need for a minimalistic collection? I do the laundry weekly.
My casual collection for reference:
T-shirts - 8
Jeans - 1
Sneakers - 1
Note: outerwear isn't needed where I live.

Probably one.
Really? Some have told me to get 2. Variety isn't a concern, so if I'm getting 2 they will probably be the same color.
.
In that case definitely just get one
How many times can I wear before laundry? Do they not require as much washing like jeans?
Depends on you and your body odor, how warm it is where you live, what you do whilst wearing it, what material it's made out of. But you should wash it if you can smell it.
Acrylic/Polyester will need to be washed a lot more often than wool, for example
Getting two sweaters the same colour is pretty much the opposite to my definition of "minimal" though.
Perhaps you can get one sweater and if you find yourself wishing for another sweater you can get one more
Maybe this goes without saying, maybe it doesn't
You should wear an undershirt under your sweaters and you'll minimize the amount you actually need to wash it. I treat wool sweaters more like outerwear
But yes certainly if it smells bad or is physically dirty, clean it
Yeah then one is certainly enough. T-shirts will absorb all the sweat.
Do you mean minimalist in terms of style, number of pieces, or both?
Both. I have a basic number of items in neutral colors.
then buy one sweater, two sweaters that are the same isn't minimalist in terms of items to me
A simple crewneck sweater should be good. I'd recommend a shetland in a neutral. Bosie, Jamieson, howlin are a dew good brands.
Or an alpaca sweater, the ones from industry of all nations are a great option
