Hold_current
In Rat OS where is the hold_current for the motors? I am running 2209 steppers. It is in not in the cfg file.

Thanks for your help. I got the fix. You gave me a good direction to go with. I started testing the pins and notice something with the motor. I didn't have the allan key screws tight enough on the motor and the pulley was slipping. Thanks

Thank you for the information. I was trying to troubleshoot an issue. I thought it might be realted to hold current not in the RatOs. Since it is not an issue. I wll keep looking elsewhere.
what is your issue, if i may ask?
When I home either x or y axis. The other axis moves some. So if you just home x . It moves some on the y axis instead of staying still. It does the exact oppisite if I just home y. I though belt tension but I tried both loosing and tightened belts with no change.
Hybrid VC4?
No this is an V core 3 upgraded to a v core 3.1
Ah, ok. Do you have a skew profile loaded?
I just did the install of RatOs and fired it up. I haven't changed anything else yet.
Aight. Then yeah it's most likely binding, either from unparallel rails or unevenly tensioned belts.
Your motors will move a tiny bit when they're engaged, that could also be what you're seeing, it kind of depends on how much it's moving
Could you show me a video?
I did also loosen up the rails and move it back and forth trying to make sure they are parrell.
Only do this on one of the Y rails to align it to the other.
Give me a minute and I will fire it back up and get a video.
And make sure to tigthen it from one end to the other.
Yeap I did that
Okay that's fully diagonal 😄
Ie, one of your steppers aren't doing anything
Yeah pretty much. It doesn't take much to hold it.
Either the motor cable isn't plugged in in both ends (or the pins popped out etc), or you forgot to tighten your pulleys 🙂
And right now I have the belts loose. As I was trying that way after I tightedned them.
I will check all of the pins make sure one did not pop out.
yeah that's not is, this is a motor that is 100% out of the game
most likely cable or pulley related, everything else would cause errors.
unless you swapped the extruder and the x or y motor, but that seems unlikely
I will go down that path and check the pins first. I will let you know what I find. Thanks for your help.
sure thing!
