Styling feedback: navy chinos, cardigan, t-shirt.

So today I went for a navy look, with some navy chinos, a RL t-shirt and a cardigan. How well does this combo go? To me it gives off a bit of a smart impression.

In my opinion the main thing this could do with is some contrast, and more nitpicky probably a messier / blousier tuck on the t. What shoes? I don't think this is that "smart", it's pretty laid back. What makes you say that?

I didn't need to wear shoes today but if I did I would have gone with these converse trainers

I think it was the trousers that gave me the impression of the outfit being less casual and therefore 'smart'

imo the thing people are going to see first is the graphic tee which reads as casual everything else being a similar color means (at least for me) it's hard to see something else that reads as "not casual" in this context

this fit isn't bad but like chopper said, a little bit of contrast would help imo changing to jeans might be something to consider, even if it's going to firmly plant the look as casual

Yeah It's something I could try, I've got a pair of black 501s that could work well

Too monochrome for my liking, I like a pop of color, or some contrast at least
