2px, 2py, and 2pz
all 3 orbitals will have the same energy
Yes but not under magnetic field
Zeeman effect
wut
zeeman effect ohh
what was zeeman effect
oh lines split into sublines
which means that no same energy of line
therefore no same energy orbitals
right?
Yeah
Idk the exact
uhm
ok
uhhhh
@iTeachChem sir this correct??
Almost certain not in syllabus
huh
weow
aakash editors very kewl
in our book its just give that in Zeeman Effect the spectra lines divide into sub lines
Perhaps. But Zeeman effect nahi hai. Check jee syallbus once
Zeeman effect in itself as a topic nahi hai but in Bohrs Model ka disadvantages one of the pointers is that Bohrs Model was unable to explain the zeeman effect and the star effect
so uhm
idk
our teacher hasnt given us a deep dive either
just definition likhwaya and made us write ki how many sublines each line will divide into for diffrent orbitals
but
nothing related to this questions

Idk if this is related but end portion has Zeeman effect and stern and gerlacht experiment
This is not going to deal with actual calculations but it’s a good vid
Next one is more of maths behind the theory
And if you’re super interested there is a topic called spinors in maths which is needed to understand the spin quantum number properly
Im also waiting to go into that rabbit hole after need
Imo don’t go too much in detail not worth it
And this level is not even needed any ways
And also to understand spinors you need to learn topology too
Which is a college math thingy so
Be wise with your time
Also quantum mechanics from a book by David j griffiths are a must read
His books on electro dynamics and magnetism is also really good
Shall we close this post out? :) and also stop doing questions from whatever book this is. Focus on ncert plus exemplar!
its the module ;-;
but ok
ill not do it
thanku
